For a lot of people finishing an LD can be hard work, especially on their first novice rides. But once those people finish a 50, they know they have done an endurance ride. There is a distinct difference between riding a 25 and a 50. You have to ride your horse smarter. Most anyone can get a horse thru a 25 but not all can get their horse successfully thru a 50 without smart management of their horse and their own body.
