I have a horse that would do the same thing. Out of desperation we put
on NBS shoes in the front. A year no pulls. Then one day he needs new
shoes and the farrier was out of the NBS. He shaped a pair of rim shoes
to mimic the NBS and within two weeks he had yanked on. We put NBS back
on him the next time and he hasn't pulled a shoe since.

RE: [RC] Boa Horse Boot
Thanks for the info. One of the reasons for my current interest
in boots, Easyboots or Boaboots, is a particular horse we have that
over-reaches and snatches off front shoes, often within the first 1/2
mile of a ride. I'm considering Ground Control shoes on the advice of
a farrier on ridecamp. But if all else fails, Easyboots over iron
shoes may be my only choice. Frustrating problem. It would be great
if we didn't have to shoe this horse at all in front, but until
Easyboots stay on better or Boaboots can be used for endurance, we have
few choices left. The horse has a very short strong back and long
legs, and he reaches well forward at a trot.
