Hello Laura,
I am not a horse "rescuer" and do not have a facility to take this on. I am
just an acquaintance of the woman who owns them. Her husband lost his job
and they have no way to pay their mortgage, nor buy more hay. It probably
won't be long before it turns into a rescue situation though. Her last
effort to come up with money for her mortgage was to load up a couple of
trailers and take these horses to auction. She only had room to take eight,
and fortunately I found someone to commit to these horses. Six of them went
home with someone, instead of to auction. The other two I have committed
to, though I don't really have the means. I won't let them go to auction.
There were atleast 42 horses there last I checked. She is hoping for a
miracle so she can keep her stallion and a few mares. I am hoping for a
miracle for the horses so they can live and be a loving part of someone's
family. The price of $500.00 without papers was the lowest I could get her
to go at that time. Though she won't be making any money, she would have
money to put towards her mortgage and feed. I can't give up. I have to
help these horses find homes. Wish me luck. :)
Hello again! If I end up moving down to trout lake in the next month, I
will
certainly come check out the horses. But, it sounds like your time frame
might
be shorter than that? I never got the full story, what is the situation?
They
aren't your horses, is it a rescue situation?

The air of heaven is that which flows between a horse's ears.
