Get well wishes from Texas!  What a bummer!  I feel very fortunate not to be laid up as you are after getting bucked off on the 27th.  "Something" caused my mule, Sally, to start bucking during a CTR and I stayed on for about 4 bucks then came off and landed on my left hip and side.  Knocked the breath out of me but other than pain in an olready bad hip and some pulled upper back muscles, I think I'm ok.  I was wearing my helmet too.  I'm glad you weren't completely alone.  Makes me think I sure do need to let someone know when I ride off alone, which is frequently. 

Sally has never bucked in the 9 months I've had her so hope it was just a bee or something. 

Good luck with your recovery.  Trying to be active will certainly be helpful.  Did they have to do surgery?
