Re: [RC] Laminitis Supplement Suggestions - Kristen A Fisher

I thought that Cushing's dealt with the pituitary and insulin resistance had
to do with the thyroid or am I extremely confused?

I would suggest having your horse tested for insulin resistance (even
carrots can aggrivate a laminitic horse if the cause is related to insulin
resistance). For more information and help go to this Yahoo Group:

I have some other help to suggest, but don't want to post other people's
email addresses publically. Please write me privately.

Just because someone tells you that your horse isn't "fit" for
endurance...doesn't mean it isn't, it just means your horse isn't fit to
be
"their" endurance horse! Go for it, you never know what you'll accomplish
with that "saddle horse" or "trail horse" of YOURS!

Arabians were bred for years primarily as a war horse and those
requirements are similar to what we do today with endurance riding.
