Re: [RC] Setting Fire to Tents a/k/a Cut-throat Competition - Becky Rohwer

Goodness, that is awful. I've never heard of such sabatoge. I was at a
ride where someone, not a rider, pulled about 1/4 mile of ribbon from a
trail. It was right at a cross roads area, so no one knew which way to go.
It held up a whole string on 50 milers for almost an hour before we got word
back to ride camp that we were all lost. Luckily or un, one 50 miler was on
the trail before the "friendly" person pulled the ribbons. So she finished
the loop wwwwaaaayyyy ahead of the rest of us. Needless to say no one else
bothered showing for BC as time wise we were all licked.
Other than that incident I have always found people at ER rides to be very
friendly, helpful and mostly corteous. Tell her to not give up on us yet.

I still prefer what it is that BH100, Tevis, The Duck's Soup of Endurance,
etc. has to offer...but, to see a horse canter over sand for those
distances...Good Lord, it humbles me.
