FW: Re: [RC] [RC] TWH Advice - Amber B FortMy very first horse was half walker/mutt. He did rack when asked, although not formally trained for it. He did not trot with me for several years, however after we had been together for 5-6 years, I taught him to longe, wahhlaaa, he started to trott. I was a kidd and was learning new stuff to, so taught him whatever I learned. No one, told me you don't longe walking horses, so I did it. Once, he learned there, he learned to do so under saddle. However, he only did the trot when asked for, as he was built to do the running walk, he preferred that gait when we slowed down enough to do it. I was kid and everwhere we went was at a gallop. To the day he died, he only trotted when I asked him to do so. We were a team for 13 years, wish I had known about endurance then!
