Not only could I not spell Tschiffely's name correctly, but I was wrong about the second horse's name.  Oh, well.......

In 1925 Aime Tschiffely rode from Buenos Aires to Washington D.C. on 2 Criollo geldings named Mancha and Gato.  His books can be found by either punching in his name or going to the Long Riders Guild website. ts
