I also highly recommend Gene Ovenick's new trimming video, available at www.edsshoofcare.com He bases his trimming methods on the studies of Bowker and others. It has a section on hoof anatomy and function, trimming (for healthy hooves, not pathological ones) and even care of foal hooves.
