I put some on squeek's nose during a ride (maybe 30 miles or so into a 50) and he stopped drinking/eating as a result. Just something new I think.... johnt Yep, just like new tack or clothing.... Always try it first at home. ;-) Zinc oxide (particularly in the "nicer" brands like Desitin that are sold for diaper rash) tends to have "nice" smelling stuff in it so that mothers think their babies' bottoms smell sweet. Could be distracting to some horses that aren't used to it, for sure!
