[RC] [Guest] saddle horn or no? (Australian saddles) - Ridecamp Moderator

I am about to purchase an Australian stock saddle and can't decide between the model with the horn and one without. My friend says the horn is useful to pony other horses (don't know if I'll ever be doing that) and for security. I usually ride English and don't know if the horn would just get in the way. I also want the saddle so my non-horsey boyfriend can ride, and I don't know if the horn would provide more security for him or not. Thanks for any help!
