Wow - you really haven't seen much of Texas, have you?  In my section of
this state, all we have is HEAVY forests.  Half of our rides are now out
west, where we can experience such things as ROCKS (horrors <g>)  There's
also areas to ride in just a little south that could pretty much be
described as swamp, but no one's tried to put on a ride there.  Broad
grasslands just describes the panhandle.
