[RC] Presidents Cup Racing - Angie OrrI have contemplated over posting this because usually when I post on a subject that so many knowledgable people are posting on I end up sounding like an idiot but here it goes:I think most of us if not all of us agree we don't want the type of racing that happened last night at the presidents club race to be directly associated with the type of racing we do with our horses here in the US. And it is clearly not the same type of racing we do. Why then may I ask is it called endurance racing? Why not Flat Track Endurance or Long Distance Flat Track Racing? I looked to other sports for a comparison: Car Racing - Indy Car Racing, Formula One Racing, Stock Car Racing, Enduro-Car Racing, Modified Car Racing... Motorcycle Racing - Motocross, Enduro, Flat Track, Superbike, Supercross, ect... There are many others but I think you get the picture. Why do we call endurance racing what really isn't endurance racing at all, can't we preserve the sport of "endurance" to what it is and force racing of other kinds to Not be called endurance. I have no idea how of course I'll leave that to the smart people who usually post ;) Angie _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
