RE: [RC] Deaths - the list - Bob MorrisWent to a ride many years back where pre-ride meeting the US Forest Service spoke up and expressed their doubt concerning endurance competition. They stated, have a horse die here and you will hire a back hoe, dig a pit, bury the horse and then make a report. Fail to do so and you will have charges brought! Made some people think twice and slowed some down. That was a deterrent! That being said, I would always, if at all possible, have my horse necropsied. I live within 3 hours of a vet hospital and they will do it quite inexpensively. I would make any records or reports available to the vet committee of AERC, however, I would not allow any of the records to be disemminated to the general membership unless forced to do so.........Maryben =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
