And God help us if we ever have to defend such a liability release in court,
from what I understand.  These things can get pretty sticky.

I've sat through many of the same meetings where this has been cussed and
discussed by the veterinary committee and would have to say that the quote
you got from a committee member is right on the mark.  Not to sound like a
broken record--but the autopsy issue should be a STRONG suggestion, not a
rule, and the ride vets are the ones in the best position to determine what
needs to be done in each individual case.
