Re: [RC] [RC] RE- senior horse feed - DreamWeaverI had some ride vets tell me a few years ago that Equine Senior was the only thing Purina had ever done right.....mb ....my horses have decided that Equine Senior is the best thing since sliced carrots.....they like it even better than Complete Advantage, and from my own experience, CA will make a horse higher than a kite if you feed it a lot (many days in a row during an endurance ride), and the ES hasn't. Two rat study tho :-). Probably not worth much, but I learned these things on the 2001 XP when both horses did 19 50's each in 8 weeks. Rocky levitated thru much of Nebraska, and even Weaver was zig zagging, unusual for him. They are much better on the ES. I noticed that a lot of other riders feed Equine Senior. I like Purina products because I can pick it up anywhere, in several different states. Plus, my horses do well on it and whenever I have emailed Purina nutrition questions (when I'm not driving SuG nuts with questions <G>), they have gotten right back to me and have been really helpful. I carry it with me in baggies when I ride. It is nice that it is designed to be digested easily and can be fed as a complete feed -- making it one less thing to worry about. So long as my horses are eating this stuff, I'm happy! k =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
