Re: [RC] Leatherwood's "Ride the Mountain" Classic - Timothy WordenPhil, You come up with a second ride at Leatherwood...I'm there no matter what. Is there such thing as a 2day 75? 50 one day...25 second day. I think there's definitely horses capable of either one or two day 100s. Not sure how it compares to Tevis or OD, but it definitely is tough...hence Extreme in the ride title. I guess if those are doable for 1day 100s...then why not Leatherwood. If you can get the attendance for a 1-day 100 perhaps an Appalachian Challenge Series involving Biltmore 100 in May, OD 100 in June, and Leatherwood 100 in Sept. would be a cool thing. Anyway, would be great to have a second ride available at Leatherwood. Labor Day Weekend is open and we thought we may even try a multiday ride. Our question is this. Do you think a one day 75 is doable at Leatherwood? We pretty much think a 100 is not doable but maybe a 75 would be. Our thought would be a one day 25...50...75 and or 2 day 50 (25 and 25) and 2 day 100 (50 and 50). The two day 100 may be a little too tough. We would appreciate any feedback which will help us make our decision. Thanks.
