[RC] New Rider Proposals (how new is new?) - rides2farIf someone isn't able to handle their horse safely, then they are politely told how to do so by someone. Seems like the incentive would be to let them screw up and lose points. Then you win. As to monitoring the horses metabolics during the ride. Only a few times have > the vets not done a met. check during the ride. Almost always my horse has > been checked at least once during the ride. You don't say what distance, so maybe you're talking about less than 50 miles, but I generally expect my horse to be completely checked 3 to 4 times in a 50 if you count the finish. I never said Endurance vet checks were superior though. I simply said I do not think they are inferior.
