When I bought mine they were around $12.00 per pair
from my farrier.


do they last more than one shoeing,<<


Mine could probably be reset, the wear isn't all that
bad other than one hole in the shoe where a rock
gouged it in the pasture.


and is there a greater risk of them coming off?<<


I've shod my horse off an on for two years. I've let
her go upto sixteen weeks. I lost my first ground
control shoe and a sizeable chunk of hoof at 5 weeks.
Her hooves looked awful, cracked, chipped, etc... even
though she had been shod. I would only shoe in the GCS
if my horse's hooves need expanding. There are tons of
other options for shock absorption. My current farrier
has foam that he injects under pads that I can
remember what it's called.

I also own Orlov Rubber shoes and Oliveri Shoes with
Luwex Pads in Size OO if anyone is interested in
purchasing them I'd like to sell them as it looks like
a long road before we're conditioning.
