I too use only Myler bits. I love them. The only other bit I was having any luck with was a French link snaffle. The one joint bits seem to poke small mouthed Arabs-at least mine. I use a comfort snaffle on my green mare, and a ported "snaffle" with tongue relief on my seasoned mare. She also goes in a short shanked bit for certain things. I come from the old school where a horse isn't finished until they have learned to carry a bridle. I wouldn't put them in anything else, all the bits are pinchless and poke-less, and the horses seem to naturally have nice headsets. I try to ride them in sidepulls when I can, so having a comfortable bit is important to me. If I had to carry a bit all day, I would hope someone put some thought into how it might feel.
