Hi, Bruce.  I don't know who you are, but you are today's hero for me. 
Right on!  This reminds me of my disgust with folks who are in charge of
selecting PanAm teams or running the FEI and have never ridden a 100 mile
ride in their lives.  This is NOT to say that beginning riders do not have
a voice.  However, someone should be listening to successful riders with
long careers (who haven't killed several horses and  who don't regularly
have horses on IV's at rides).  Just my thoughts.  Cindy, AERC #176, (95%
completion rate with 7,705 miles including 15 100 milers...just for
credibility's sake)
