Re: [RC] Sports Medicine Boots - Tamara WoodcockI own a couple of pairs a couple of sizes. I use them for exactly 3 things. 1) on all four legs when introducing ridden lateral work in the arena in combination with bell boots, 2) on fronts, and sometime sall the way around depending on the horse, for those sprinting competitions like barrel racing and roping also in combination with bell boots, and 3) on the fronts in combination with bell boots for training on the longe. It's been my experience that they collect dirt, burrs, sand, etc. and cause excessive sweating of the lower leg. That said, lately I don't even use them on the longe line anymore, perfering simple galloping boots and bell boots. I don't think I would ever find a use for them on the trail. I see them more as a protection thing against interference from other legs, than having the ability to actually protect a leg. -Tamara www.aelfleahfarm.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
