Re: [RC] trailers (which way to face horses) - EliteWe had a 2 horse slant load and one of our horses "Vinnie" would tear himself up when put in the front slot. It turned out that he couldn't stand to be in the 33 degree angle position that most slant trailer builders use ( so that they can boast a longer short wall up front). When we moved him back to the rear slot and he could move his butt around to about a 45 degree angle, he did fine. He would chew on the bumpers in the front, telling us that he was unhappy about something. We just got a new trailer a couple months ago, a 4 horse slant load. In an attempt to keep the 2 horses riding over the axles we would use the two middle slots (front one is storage). Vinnie told us on about the second trip that he was unhappy by pulling out some bars on the window grate. Now we have to tie back the rear divider and let him have two slots, so he is at the right angle. When he has the room to move his rear, he is just fine.
