[RC] Got my facts straight? - Jonni JewellThat said, here's the scoop on what I need some pointers with. I'm going this weekend to look at a 1995 WW 3-Horse, slant load bumper pull trailer. Aside from the basics like floor, wiring, rust, ball hitch, tires, brakes, etc, is there anything else I should specifically look for or ask about? <<< WW trailers are one of the production / economy brands of trailers. I would REALLY look at the welds real well, not only those holding the floor, but those that make up the over all construction of the trailer. Some of the older ones, I remember being made from fairly light weight material, and they just seemed to not have the substance as other trailers. If you can not hook the trailer up, and actually take a ride in it down the drive way or such, then get inside, and jump around, rattle doors, etc. to see how it sounds. Does it sound like it was made substantial, or light and cheesy. Check hinges for rust and stress cracks. How do the doors latch? Do they seem safe? I have not looked at any WW trailers in many years, but I remember the older ones were not anything that *I* personally would have hauled my horse in. Just my opinion.
