[RC] Coso Junction Jam - Peggy Bergman-SmithI attended the Coso Junction ride this weekend and had a wonderful time. Even though it was billed as "no frills" - we had a Taco Bell right there - what more could we ask for? The trails were well marked and the desert was beautiful after the rain Saturday night. I am getting my mare ready for a 50 in the very near future, so rode both the 30 Saturday and Sunday. My friend, Carol Miller (who won the 50 on Sunday) had to talk me into riding Sunday. Thanks, Carol! Thank you to Sue and Mike Benson for a great ride, great trail markings, plenty of water, great vets (Fred Beasom is a fellow Bear Valley resident)and I finally got to meet Susan Garlinghouse, complete with "space boots!" Thank you, Karen for the great photos of the ride, even though they didn't do justice to that rocky, snotty downhill most of us walked down! My next ride is a 50 - yeah!
