[RC] Abetta Arabian saddles - sboyd1@xxxxxxxxxxHi Jan, I'm currently using an Abetta Arabian saddle that I've had for several years. I've used it on many horses. The horse I'm conditioning now is very wide and so far(knock on wood!) the fit is excellent. I use Toklat coolback pads with it. At first I didn't like it because I think the stirrups are hung too far forward, especially if you are used to riding in an english saddle. I added metal EZ ride stirrups and that has helped a lot. The seat is also a little hard, so I added a full sheepskin cover, which I now say is a MUST HAVE!!! Mine has held up great so far. I sure haven't treated it all that well!! Its got a lot of miles on it, and the horse I'm riding now is a bucking son of a gun and so far(again, knock on wood), no problems. When I can afford a new saddle I'd like to go back to an english style, but for now its working out great and the price was certainly right. Maybe I just lucked out, but that's been my experience with it.
