[RC] looking for mentor / ride pal - j marshallMy horse and I are new at the sport. I have completed my first LD ride in Fort Worth skyline ride. At this ride I realized how much more I need to learn, but I am having trouble finding help in my area. I am in Flower Mound/copper canyon area, Texas. I had a trainer for about 4 months but she moved and I have had to go it alone. I rode smart at my race finishing second to last, and trained for 6 months before that race. I need an experienced rider to tag along with or a reasonable priced trainer. I ride in the mornings around 9 or 10am since I work second shift so If there is anyone in my area who would like some company Lengend and I promise to be on our best behavior, or I do anyway. We mostly ride the pilot knoll trail, and have ridden the grapevine trail. We have trailer and will travel but not too far maybe 15-20 miles at most. any help or advise is appreciated.
