Re: [RC] What is Real Endurance!! - TeriYou said it wonderfully. I too sit back and laugh at some of the "Oldtimers".... I agree with the trails. The trails are way to easy. Over the years the trails have become less of a test of endurance between horse and rider. Now it is a test of speed between the team (horse and rider) and the other teams. Make the trails hard and interesting. I won't attend a ride that is FAST.... To me that means there is no challenge to the trails. If I wanted to run fast I would run around the race track. Seems to me the same thing. This is my opinion. TOUGH.... I to have met 100 mile riders. They are kind, gracious and are willing to discuss with you the aspects of 100 mile rides. There is more to an endurance rider than the miles, it is also the attitude towards others in the sport.
