You know, if we ever did make it a real part of endurance (Tier One), that could actually happen.  Imagine that!  More rides for more people!  Maybe, even more members.

 

And, for those who are so far above the rest of us and refuse to ever in their life do an LD, hey, that's OK, fine.  Have another rider put your horse through their first 3 LD's if you feel that way.  It should all be about the horse anyway.

  While you're at it, Howard, ask them to drop the rule that
'LD' events can't be held independently of endurance rides.
Many areas (such as the east coast) don't have many good venues
for a 100 but could easily hold an LD.  I have never heard a
convincing argument in favor of this rule, (and being told to
move out west isn't helpful!)
