[RC] Hallelujah Ride - spiritwood@xxxxxxxxxHi Ridecampers, Just returned from the Hallelujah ride in SC. Many thanks to Lucie Hancock and our "Survivor" friend Tricia Jackson, and Ana and Aaron Willliams. The weather was wonderful, trails outstanding, and just FUN, FUN, FUN!!! Great ride for junior riders like my daughter(second 25 completion), and couldn't be better for my young horse's first ride. Camp had plenty of room, people are friendly and helpful, even catching my young horse who went paddock hopping the first night to see what all those other horses were eating, and the second night when my old hundred mile horse decided to take a nice walk down the glowstick lit lane behind the last of the 100 milers. It was just an outstanding good time to be had for all and you should put it on your calenders for next year. No stress and it is the only ride all year where I think we laughed all weekend. Even when my young horse went "sand diving" on the first loop(he'd never seen any deep sand and thought it was God's gift to horses and meant for a good roll), even though he was fully tacked at the time. He looked truely shocked when I got off(laughing hysterically) and said "no no, bad horse!" (He knew I was kidding). This is a Don't Miss ride for 2004!
