This certainly ruffles my feathers. I have not witnessed this so called second class treatment....Our ride this weekend had about 35 LD riders, only 10 of whom finished in time. One was picked up by the RM about 4 miles from the finish because she was very sick. Every single one of the OT riders got their finishing award, which was the same award the 50 milers got, a hand made polarfleece blanket. As far as BC goes, we choose not to give an AERC BC award. We give a horse excellence award which is available to all of the finishers. The rules do not require the BC award and we are free to choose not to give it.............mb =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
