[RC] NC "racing" - Lucy Chaplin TrumbullRobert Ribley was master of ceremonies at the awards on Sunday. He rode in both the 100 and the 50, although on different horses. He told the story of how he'd been following Leigh Bacco (they are both in the Auburn area and know each other - and both are middle weights) all day during the 50. Robert said "My horse was kind of tired, so I thought... hmmm... and stepped off my horse..." Leigh looked back... and she stepped off her horse... Robert began to run as fast as he could - but he said he'd never seen Leigh run that fast before and he couldn't catch her.
