E-Se enhances his performance via his muscular capabilities. I understand this concept and agree with the AERC policy. However, I think this is a special case. I live in Virginia and our soil here is extremely low in selenium (as is Maryland). We only supplement Se to keep the horse's levels normal - the same as horses who live in areas where there is sufficient Se in the soil so they don't need supplementation. I don't believe this is the same as supplementing with something like Yucca or MSM. And then there's Adequan, and it's legal.
