Re: [RC] Riding Cavalry - Barbara McCraryI have been stunned by scenes of vehicles driving along with the competitors, spraying the horses with water and offering sustenance to the riders. To me this is NOT endurance riding and I'm saddened to see FEI rides disintegrate into such events. No pit crews. That's what I said, NO pit crews.Bonnie, impose a "time window" with a scoring system based on condition of the horse rather than making it a race and you have a sport called "competitive trail riding". One of the challenges of CTR is the rider having to do everything -- it's exhausting! You did cause some neurons to connect for me, however... I would love to see FEI and international competitions conducted purely as cavalry events. How fast would that get rid of the "jockeys"? >g< Deanna =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
