Re: [RC] dumb question - Barbara McCrary

Answer from a ride manager:  I keep and use them for the precise details of each horse's progress from vet check to vet check....arrival time at vet check, then recovery time.  I print out detailed ride results which I send to all riders.  These are a useful tool for the riders (they tell me) and a useful tool for me to calculate a flow chart for the vets.  After I have finished collecting the data from the rider cards, I return them to the riders who request them.  The others I keep for a whole year, then toss them.

Subject: [RC] dumb question

Hi guys, hope this finds you and your horses all well.

Anyway, real quick silly question but I've always wondered.

Where do our vet cards go after a ride?  Does someone keep them?  Forwarded to AERC?? etc. etc.???  I've always wondered about that cause I thought we'd get to keep them as a keepsake from the ride...so basically why are they retained?  Just curious!

(said this was a dumb question...lol)
