Myler has a website and they will suggest a bit depending on your horses training ,use etc.They suggested and we went to a ported, hinged bit on the trail, Still can get independet side movement, but the curved port gives tongue relief and with the hinge it 'acts' like a solid bit front to back and gives some leverage with the slots if neededc to slow down. He tucks and rounds better in it too. (they are pricey, but I found one used in a 4 3/4 for 36.00$ at a used tack shop.Now for Honey i was looking for the curved mouthpiece witha french link, she needs less bit. Found a 'takeoff' just like th myler for 29.00$She relaxed alot in it, course we are still working in the ring.
