[RC] helmet question - Jonni JewellWhen one crashes on a bike, it is most common to crash with the top of the head first. (speed of you and bike, coming to a fast stop, head leading the way to the impact) This is why they normally do not come down over the back of the head. In many horse accidents, you come off backwards, hitting the back of your head. Or, land with the back of your head hitting the ground. Bike helmets, in my opinion, do not offer the protection needed for horse related falls in most cases.
