I have the one with the lining and the canvas top.  I use a fleece pad under it 
and like it just fine.  It has velcro loops and I have never had it slip.  I 
also have Skito pads that I use.  I honestly can't say one is better than the 
other but I have always liked the Skito pads a lot.
