I agree, however, there is another nice use for the saddle horn, that is the reason I keep my Western Bob Marshall, and that is to pony another horse. I know, some folks think it is dangerous to dally around the horn, but the way I do it, with a wrap and half, allows me only to release my fingers and the whole thing would slide through... Having the bratty pony horse anchored by the horse, saddle,breastcoller combination has sure helped save my 47 year old arm from jerks and pulls....
