Re: [RC] Aussie saddle - Jim SimpsonI wouldn't trade my Aussie for the world. We've purchased additional aussies, including one for my teenage daughter all other saddle are collecting dust. However, The Aussies that we purchased are modified for endurance riding. The polys are tipped vertical and dropped do that they don't snug you into the sea but are there when you are in a two point position and posting. When we purchased the saddle for my daughter we originally ordered a traditional style. One ride and she hated it. She fought the polys to post adn I felt trapped. We swapped that saddle the next day for an endurance modified version. Talk to the saddle makers about your needs and what you will be using the saddle for. There are big differences in Aussies just as there are in english and western saddles. I.e. I won't team pen or rope in a western barrel saddle.
