[RC] [RC] [Guest] bad behavior - Ridecamp GuestLaurie Durgin Funny I didn't want to mention my friends horse ,who is a 3/4 arab,1/4 saddlebred. . . Similiar problems.He wasn't shown (he is 7 now), but was stalled 23/24.got 'crazy and was attacking people when he got out.Rearing,biting,charging.His traumazation, was being thrown into trailers when a hurricane would come to evacuate. Owned bya an older gentlement who was too afraid to ride him. Friend brought him up here ,turned him out for months in a big pasture. Has had him to a JL triner and other non resistance trainer ,used him in a demo on trialer loading. He will load, but then goes nuts while in trailer. He also weaves if left in stall too much. Has had a couple riders (women,) one got a bit rough and he started rearing. Owner stopped that. Has tried to be firm ,but kind. He loves to trailride, but has more tricks. . . I consider him real unpredictable and dangerous.We both decided he is neurotic. But she feels sorry for him. She'd like him to be a trail horse, but the trailer thing .So he just gets ridden around the 40 acre barn they are at or in the arena. He does dump his rider when he spooks though. Maybe it's the lines they bred too.You hate to generalize.
