Re: [RC] [RC] Riding an Arab... - SundaezThanks all for the responses to my "green horse" concerns. I always ride with a friend who has a calm horse, but I was concerned that the mare would become dependent on another's company. When she gets afraid it is always if she is leading. Sometimes I just hop off and lead her a while and then she's ok. It's no big deal cuz she's short! Also sometimes I just let the other horse go first but that kind of riding almost has a mindless feel to it as she gets a bit pluggish if she doesn't have to think. Although...sometimes pluggish is good. :) I was thinking of taking her out solo but I guess she's not ready yet, even though the trainer did. He was in a much more rural area though and I doubt ever came across someone flying a 6 foot wingspan remote control glider <g>! One of the things that makes this horse so interesting to me is how emotional she is...and how you always know where her head is. Her eyes and ears tell volumes about how she feels about things. She is the most expressive horse I have met....such a wide range of emotions and lots of personality....has an opinion about everything!
