I have used Los Caballos Equine in Galt for a number of things, including splint surgery. The roving surgery vet is Tom Yarborough, who is EXCELLENT. Owner vet is Noel Mueller (sp) who has endurance experience (at Dubai) and is a hard core polo player, so he understands competiton. They are a smaller clinic, and not quite so expensive. 24806 N Kennefick Rd, Galt Cal Just about a mile east of Hwy 99 at south end of Galt. I drive 112 miles one way to get there, and at 5 mpg, and almost $2/gallon, you know I want to be there. Dr Mueller is a really pleasant guy to talk to on the phone. Good Luck..
