WHY the heck IS that? If there are two tanks available in the pasture, one is just yucky and the other one is sparkling clean, guess which one they prefer? If they have a choice of a frog egg encrusted, green slime coated mud puddle with an oil slick on top and a clear mountain stream, guess which one they prefer? <sigh> >> ROFL! Sounds like my goofy horse. I always blamed it on us being in SE Texas, where the water doesn't move and is always murky brown colored. He views clear water, especially if it's MOVING, with suspicion. A couple years ago we did a ride farther north. There was a stream we crossed several times - beautiful clear water, flowing a bit. He wasn't impressed. But as we trotted down a logging road in the hot sun and came to muddy puddles in the road the color and consistency of chocolate malts (and probably 90+ degrees), he did his best to drain them. I worried I'd have to have his stomach pumped for sludge after the ride! <G> Dawn in East Texas and Chivas (I prefer water I can chew) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
