[RC] Timex Speed & Distance Watch - Teri HunterI have been looking at the Timex Speed & Distance Watch since I saw the ad in Trail Blazer. I was telling a friend of mine about them and she said that she has one and she loves it. The accuracy is fantastic. Since I ride in Florida and the next ride is not until November that I will be traveling to, I let the girls (my 2 mares) have a few months off. I am starting back with conditioning (mine also) in the summer I am kinda lazy, shorts, no saddle, but it was always a little difficult to tell the speed I was going and extremely difficult to tell the distance. I swear every time I am on a ride the last 5 miles seems like it is actually more like 15. So I thought this would be an excellent item. I tried one of those GPS. To difficult for me to use and this is coming from a person who works on codes in computers all day long. The point of this is I received my watch/system Saturday. Read the book from to back, it's not very long. I tested the system this morning. WOW!!!! That thing is sooooo cool. I found out I can go 6.7 mph bareback at a trot before my sitting gets all screwed up. My mare walks 3.5 mph and the loop around the pasture in the back is 1.5 miles. If you have the same problems I have this is one tech item to get. I paid $128.95 for it. No tax and free priority shipping. I got it at http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com/Pages/Timex.html I bought the 50 lap blue/black.
