Re: [AERC-Members] [RC] Statistics on Pulls for one day rides vsmultidays and regional differences - Truman PrevattI have the ride times for the 2002 rides - which I am in the process of looking at. The few rides I have had the time to look at shows no significant difference between single day rides and multiday rides times within the same region. However, this is as I said a limited set of data and I will know more after I look at it all. Also one needs to deliniate between riders riding a pioneer ride as a single day ride and one riding it as a multiday ride. If anyone has any good criterial to use I am all ears. I expect the sample median is a good indicator. Some of the rides that I am looking at now and stick out, Smokey Killen Memorial Series was won in 4:00, 4:36 and 3:43 on the three days - that's a moving even by SE flat terrian racing standards. One of the days of the Wild West was won in 4:12 - that's moving for 50 miles. One day of the Fort Schellbourne was won in 3:53. One of the days of the New Mexico Renegade was riders comeing in at 4:23, 4:27, 4:39,.. and that was for 55 miles. Those are pretty good time anywhere. Are those normal, are the distibutions the same as signle day rides? The answers are in the data. Truman Barney wrote: 12Truman, how could you possibly determine that? Have you been there? I can tell you that the pace IS slower for multiday rides. You can write that down.
