Re: [RC] Endurance Polls/Recovery Times - Heidi SmithI'm not a vet and I'm sure they see things I don't but in general I don't think shortening the time is the answer. I don't favor shortening the time, either--the important thing is to have an idea that a horse DID take longer to come down, and to take that into account in the whole "big picture" when you make decisions about whether or not he should go back out on the trail. I do think that we need a cut-off time--but 30 minutes gives ample opportunity, and gives an end-point as well. The significance of what happens within that 30 minutes is something for the ride vets to take into account.
