A friend I sometimes ride with at competitions has a horse that will immerse his face almost up to his eyes to drink sometimes. My horse's goofy trick is that after drinking, he'll often trot off down the trail with his tongue sticking out. I would have never realized he was doing it except that people are always laughing and telling me about it. One of my favorite ride photos of us has him trotting along with his tongue out, taken shortly after a water stop.
