Re: [RC] Stallions - David & MaggieI would definitely not keep a stallion who was not a specific breed-- even Saddlebred-Arabian crosses have to be registered as National Showhorses in order to have value as breeding stallions. Morab is a recognised breed registry. A Morab must be either 1/2 arab and 1/2 Morgan or 1/4 and 3/4 either way. No other mix is allowed, if I recall. A Morab stallion could breed either Arab or Morgan mares and produce registerable Morab foals. I think he could also breed Morab mares, but only if they were 1/2 and 1/2, not 1/4 and 3/4. I'm a Morab, really! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
