Re: [RC] human electrolytes, ... - Truman PrevattI don't know, a beer taste awfully good down here in the deep south in the summer. Nothing seems to replace depleted electrolytes the way a few cold ones do at the end of the day. Someone told me that it was the amount of sodium and potassium in beer. I don't know I've never bothered to read the label.Truman PS I don't think I would drink one at a vet check. Some body else's crew offered me one at the 90 mile check in a 100 one time. I think they wanted me to fall off in the woods in the dark since their ride was behind me:-). Magnumsmom@xxxxxxx wrote: Brenda wrote:3. Human electrolytes: I like beer. No sugar, lotsa vitamin B [...]You're kidding, right? I didn't see any smiley faces though. 1) Beer and other alchoholic drinks actually leach vitamin B out of your body. 2) I like the description of alchohol being the "ultimate sugar high". 3) Beer is a dehydrating liquid, not what you want to "combat heat".
